Our team at Sydney Dance Rhythms is made of passionate and friendly dance instructors who pour their whole soul and energy into the dance lessons so students can get the best and most enjoyable experience and dance instructions in a class. Our dance instructors have been carefully chosen to inspire and motivate our young and adult students, and help them achieve great results in a dance competition (if they compete), on a stage (if they perform), in understanding body movements and rhythm.
The Creative Dance helps develop children’s imagination, creativity, confidence and self-expression. The class includes games and improvisation.
Yes the classes encourage both boys and girls to participate.
All the songs played during the class are child-friendly and they are easy to follow in the dance.
There’s no need of any prior dance experience.
Yes, you can view a class before registering your child or have a casual class.
Yes, you can still register your child.
You don’t need to pay for the full term. Casual classes are available as well.
- Clothing: comfortable and practical clothes (i.e. not too baggy so children may trip on it OR too tight that it may restrict movement)
- Shoes: comfy shoes with a strap, ballet socks, socks or bear feet.
- The classes are 45 minutes in duration.
- We recommend you arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to the commencement of your class for sign-in.
Yes, parents may sit on the chairs provided at the back of the classroom. We would appreciate if parents keep the noise at minimum to avoid interrupting the class.
Some children may be shy, especially in the beginning, and parents are free to join in to help the little ones overcome any fears and open up to new experiences.
Yes, at Sydney Dance Rhythms we hold a small Dance Concert at the end of each term to give the children a sense of achievement.
There are no fees involved, but we encourage everyone to bring a small plate of food to share with everyone else.
Yes, each dance concert has a theme, and everyone may and is encouraged to dress up according to the theme.
The end of term dance concerts normally go for a maximum of 2 hours.
They are held at the same location where the dance classes run.
Yes, please! At scheduled intervals all participants will be encouraged to give feedback about the classes, teachers, schedule and facilities. Your feedback would be highly appreciated to ensure your interaction with Sydney Dance Rhythms is satisfying.
Schedule and fees are subject to change. Classes may be cancelled, suspended or modified due to public holidays, Christmas closure periods, company commitments, availability of teachers and events beyond the company’s control. Amendments will be made available online, at the registration desk and in email news, so please register your email via your online account set-up.

Participation in the classes will be considered acceptance of these terms and conditions, and any ongoing updates to these terms and conditions.
Term bookings or other discounted packages can only be purchased up to and during the first class of the term, or as otherwise stated on our website. Discounts shall not apply beyond this time.
Term bookings or other discounted packages are non-refundable and non-transferrable upon completion of 25% of the agreed term. For example, in a 10-week term, refunds cannot be accepted after week 3. Any refunds shall be made pro-rata.
No refunds or concessions shall be provided for cancellations for lessons given by you with less than 24 hours’ notice. We reserve the right to give special consideration to extraordinary circumstances and we may request documented evidence accordingly.
SDR reserves the right to cancel a lesson by providing reasonable notice. If this occurs, participants will be notified and refunded accordingly
