Developing children’s self-confidence in a happy, no-fuss environment is the fundamental philosophy of SUPERSTARS. Every day, we are dedicated to provide our students with encouragement and a relaxed approach to learning many different styles of dance and drama. Every child is unique and has different learning needs – at SUPERSTARS we focus on each child’s individual development rather than rigorous rote-learning routines or perfection.

Q What do I wear to class?

Your FAVOURITE outfit! Whilst not compulsory to have to attend a class, the following items make up the SUPERSTARS UNIFORM, which are compulsory as a performance outfit:
Black Tshirt with the SUPERSTARS Logo printed on it, with either the SUPERSTARS Pink Sequinned Skirt or SUPERSTARS Black Jazz Pants (girls) or Black Hip Hop Short (Boys) as well as APPROPRIATE dance shoes and socks/stockings suited to your class.

Q What do I need to bring to class?

A BIG SMILE, great attitude AND a water bottle please!

Q What is the SUPERSTARS uniform?

Q What is the cost of the SUPERSTARS uniform?

Q Where can I buy the SUPERSTARS uniform?

You can buy the uniform online at our Shop and pick up at our dance class venues. You can also buy it from either venue on your dance class days.

Q How can I pay for the classes?

Internet Bank Transfer if our preferred method of payment.

Cash or EFTPOS may be paid directly to our Studio Manager. When paying with a CREDIT card there is a 2% Surcharge.

Please be aware there is a $15 late fee for accounts overdue by 14 days.

Q Is there a joining fee?

There are no joining fees!

Q Do I have to start at the beginning of the term?

Absolutely not! When you are keen to join come along and get into the fun! We will welcome you at any stage of the term. Call Rachael directly on 0409 060 001 to confirm availability.

Q Do I have to commit to a full term?

If you are joining any of our STARS classes (children under school age) then the answer is NO! We understand life isn’t so easy every day of the week with little ones so you can come and go as you please.
We have recently introduced paying upfront for the term for all other classes at SUPERSTARS to encourage commitment and dedication to coming along to class each week as we focus on the upcoming concert. (If you join mid-term, we just ask you to pay for the remaining weeks of the term).

Q Can I stay and watch the class?

It is appreciated if parents leave the actual dance space for the duration of ALL classes. In saying this the area to wait is directly outside and you can see through the door to the children.
All students (believe it or not) will settle into class much faster if you leave before the start of the class. We believe this is definitely for the children’s benefit. We thank you for your co-operation.


CARINA HEiGHTS VENUE: 330 Pine Mountain Road is the official address of the Living Faith Uniting Church – where the classes are held. A landmark to make it easy to find is “METROPOL” with a McDonalds on the corner of Creek and Pine Mountain Roads. Living Faith Uniting Church is across the road from this.
COORPAROO VENUE: Mt Carmel Primary School, Norfolk Street, Coorparoo. Walk into the driveway at the back of the church between the school office and you will run into the school multipurpose hall. PLEASE NOTE: under no circumstances are you allowed to drive into the driveway of the school. Please park on the street and walk into the hall from there.

Q How long does a class go for?

Most classes go for 45 minutes. Exceptions to this are the MUSICAL THEATRE PROGRAMS. They go for 1.5 hours on a Tuesday and incorporates 3 classes – Singing, Drama and Dance into one afternoon. We also offer one hour combination classes of a morning at Mount Carmel and 1 hour Adult classes on Thursday nights.

Q Do you do eisteddfods or exams?

No. SUPERSTARS is purely for fun.

Q Do you have an end of year concert?

Yes. In 2018 our end of year concert will be held on Sunday 25th November.

Q Are there any extra rehearsals before the concert?

Yes. We hold one rehearsal on the stage the day before the concert. (In 2018 our rehearsal is on the 24th November). You will only be required for around 1 hour and will be told that specific time a few weeks before the concert.

Q What do I wear to the concert?

You must wear your SUPERSTARS uniform to the concert.
If you participate in Baby Stars, Tiny Stars, Pre-Prep Stars, Ballet Stars or Hip Hop Stars you do not need a costume (your SUPERSTARS uniform is what you will wear on the stage).

If you participate in any of our after school classes you will hire a costume off SUPERSTARS for the concert. This is additional to wearing your SUPERSTARS uniform also.

Q How much will participating in the concert cost?

There is a “Concert Fee” which is $30 per child, which covers your participation in both the rehearsal and the concert.

There will also be a “Costume Fee” of $25 per child per class.

For example, if your child does 2 classes per week, their Concert Fee will be $30, and their Costume Fee will be $50 (for 2 costumes).

Tickets for audience members are price $28/adult and $18/child. This is done on the internet a few weeks before the concert. The seats are allocated.

You do not pay for the dancer to have a ticket, they are free.
